OB4 CUBAN LINX 2 (SHIRTS) ITS NOT A JUST A T-SHIRT IT'S A MOVEMENT

Only Built 4 Cuban Linx... was the debut album of Wu-Tang Clan member Raekwon, released in 1995 on Loud Records. It is considered to be one of the best hip-hop albums of the 1990s and a pioneer of the mafioso hip-hop genre for its story and creabilty of the drug lord life. Raekwon released Only Built 4 Cuban Linx...—originally to be titled Only Built 4 Cuban Linx Niggaz — as his first solo album. It was a diverse, theatrical criminological epic that saw The RZA move away from the raw, stripped-down beats of the early albums and towards a richer, cinematic sound more reliant on strings and classic soul samples. Lavish living and the crime underworld are referenced throughout, with the mystique of the Wu-Tang Clan deepened by the adoption of crime boss aliases and the crew name Wu-Gambinos. This album is commonly referred to as The Purple Tape because the original cassette's plastic was entirely purple. Raekwon made this decision because he wanted to make sure people knew his album, in a way similar to how drug dealers may mark their goods.Raekwon's solo album is widely considered to be one of the most influential albums of hip hop in the 1990s. In fact, it was one of sixteen hip-hop albums to be included in Pitchfork Media's Best Albums of the 1990s Redux list, and was listed as one of thirty-three hip hop/R&B albums in Rolling Stone's Essential Recordings of the 1990s list. In addition, Stylus Magazine called it one of the greatest hip-hop albums ever, AllHipHop.com called it "incredible," and fellow emcee Busta Rhymes regarded it as "one of the best albums ever." It was retroactively given a 5-mic rating from The Source magazine in 2002, and was selected as one of The Source's 100 Best Rap Albums, even though it was originally rated 4.5 mics in 1995.

Damn Mr. Messy Jesse......can we stop the black on black hate?

Dear Mr. Messy Jesse Jackson,

When I first heard about the comment you made about Obama I can't really say I was too shocked. I guess it is because I'm use to the fact that black people are constantly being hated against and brought down by our own kind. So when I heard about the comment you made saying that you wanted to "Cut Obama's Nuts Off" I really wasn't shocked but just a little confused on why you would go so far and say something as crude and hurtful. I searched online and looked at various news sites and I kept reading the same reasoning. You believed Obama was “talking down to black people,” remarking on recent speeches the Illinois senator made about fathers taking care of their children. Okay let me get this straight because Obama has the guts to talk to his people about a serious problem affecting our community you decided to attack him in a vulgar and crude way? Was that really the reason or did Obama hit a soft spot when he spoke about how many black men have not done their job and how many of them have neglected their responsibilities? Did his speech bring back some bad memories for you? Or did it make you think of the child you had out of wedlock? Did it make you feel like he was talking to you? Did he make you feel guilty?
I'm sure you won't answer this letter or any of my questions but judging from the comment you made I really don't need a response from you. All I can say is that we as "black people" have it hard enough trying to elevate ourselves on a daily basis and it always seems to be our own people that try to bring us down. But again I'm not surprised just a little confused.

on another note you might want to think about cutting your own nuts off ..This way you can't make anymore children out of wedlock..Mr. Messy Jesse!!

You Rappers SUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK

A few days removed from the Sean Bell verdict and it seems like there is no mention of it in the paper or in the media. Reverened Wright (Obama's Pastor) seems to be the only negro the media has time to focus on and we all know the reasons behind that but what I am more confused about is the lack of response from the Hip -Hop community or as we call them the Rappers.... .yeah you know the cats that spit about busting their gats and how they murk people for a living, the dudes that rhyme about how gangster they are and so on and so on... when the shots were fired and the smoke has cleared where are they? There have been a few who have come out to speak on this issue (like the Commons, Mos Defs, David Banner ... damn even Game put out a song speaking on this injustice) but a majority of the "Rappers" seem to be real quiet about the issue. Maybe it's because the issue of police brutality....shit I mean murder and execution of another young black man is too complicated for them to spit about. They would rather beef amongst each other or put out a diss track about no-name basketball player (yeah talking about you Hova) or maybe its because these rappers today just SUCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCK. I'm not that old but I remember a time where MC's rhymed about issues that were affecting us as a people..You had Brand Nubian, Leaders of the new school, KRS one, Public Enemy even under ground groups like Group Home touched on various issues and problems that we faced. But not anymore.....now everyone that has the power to spit about something that matters or put a voice out and let the masses know that we aren't going to stand for the problems we face are quiet. I guess these rappers are only busting gats when it comes to hip-hop beef or if they need get on smack DVD...because when the smoke clears and the shots are fired they are no where to be seen. I'm not a mad rapper just mad at rap...Dear Mr. Rapper YOU SUCK
